Below is a checklist of things to install or take note of, to get yourself up and running with ICT at St Luke’s.
Please work through each item, and if you experience any issues, let an ICT team member know.
If you aren’t already, please make sure you are connected to the SLGS_Student wireless network. Returning students may be connected to the old “St Lukes Grammar” network, which will soon be phased out.
- Click to connect to SLGS_Student network
- Log in with your school username and password.
- If you are prompted to trust a certificate, click to trust/allow.
- For Mac users, at this stage you may be asked for your laptop password
- Head over to https://slik.stlukes.nsw.edu.au/cert
- Click on the icon for your type of device (mac/pc)
- An installer will download. Click it to run it
- Follow the prompts to complete the setup
NOTE: For users on macs, the installer may not appear to “run” when you click it. If this happens:- Open the System Preferences app
- Go to the Profiles section
- Click Install on the profile
St Luke’s uses a “Print Anywhere” system, which means you install and print to one “printer” on your laptop, and you can log in at any number of school printers and your print jobs print to the printer you log in to. So, if a printer has an issue or is busy, you can head to another printer and log in there. To install the printer:
If you are on a Mac
- Click Here to download the printer installer.
- You then need to go to your Downloads folder in Finder
- Locate, and right click the installer
- Click Open. You will see a popup asking if you want to run the installer. Click Open again
- Follow the prompts to install the printer
- After the install has finished, there will be a new app in your launchpad called PCClient. Open the app
- Log in with your school username (not email) and password when prompted
If you are on a PC
- Click Here to download the printer installer.
- Click and run the downloaded installer
- Follow the prompts, and log in with your school username (not email) and password when prompted

The school portal is one of the most important websites that you will use in your time at St Luke’s.
- Head to portal.stlukes.nsw.edu.au
- Log in with your school email address and password
- Once you have logged in, save the link to the portal so you can access it easily
Text books that you have ordered through Box of Books can be accessed through the Box of Books button on the portal apps page:
- Head to the School Portal at portal.stlukes.nsw.edu.au
- Click the My Apps link at the left of the portal window
- Click the Box of Books button
Text books can be accessed on this site at any time with an internet connection
You will receive important information regularly to your school email address. It is important that you check your school email inbox at least once a day.
- Head to the School Portal at portal.stlukes.nsw.edu.au
- Click the My Apps link at the left of the portal window
- Click the Student Mail button
As a student of St Luke’s, you receive a subscription to the latest version of Microsoft Office for the duration of your schooling, on up to 5 devices. To get office:
- Head to the School Portal at portal.stlukes.nsw.edu.au
- Click the My Apps link at the left of the portal window
- Click the Office 365 button
- Once logged in to the Office portal, you will see a button appear in the top-right of the window that says Install Office. Click it, then select the Office 365 apps option.
- Once the installer has downloaded, click and run the installer. NOTE: this may take some time to complete
- Either during the installation, or when you first run an office app such as Microsoft Word, you will need to active office with your school email address and password.
- Click the link http://get.vivi.io/ to download the latest Vivi installer
- Run the installer that you just downloaded
- After the install is complete, look for the Vivi app in your start menu/launchpad and open it
- Start typing in “St Luke’s Grammar School” to search for the school, and select it
- When prompted, log in with your school username and password
- Download the latest version of Zoom from https://tascmeet.zoom.us/download
- Run the installer, and then launch Zoom
- At the Zoom login page, click Sign In with SSO
- When asked for the company domain, type “tascmeet” (without the quotes), and click Login
- If prompted, sign in with your school email address and password
For some of your subjects, you may need some of the Adobe programs, such as Photoshop or Illustrator. To access these programs:
- Head to https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps
- You need to log in with your school email address. IMPORTANT: DO NOT click on the buttons to log in with Google, facebook etc. You need to type your email address in.
- If you are prompted about what type of account to log in with, select Company or school account
- Once logged in, we recommend that you download the Adobe Creative Cloud App first. This is their main app (like an “app store” for Adobe, where you will install/update/uninstall the other Adobe apps as you need.
Note: we recommend that you only install the apps that you need. These apps can be large and take up space on your laptop, so don’t go and install every app!
